Our Environmental Commitment
We take practical steps to reduce our environmental footprint across energy, water, and waste.
We have installed solar panels on the roof of our building that produce more electricity than we consume, even after adding 2 electric vehicles. We prioritise efficient water use, recycle and reuse packaging. We compost food waste on site, and grow fresh salad greens outside the building. While these initiatives require extra effort, they deliver clear environmental and commercial benefits.
Working closely with our suppliers, we’ve improved tap efficiency by reducing flow rates and run times—significantly cutting both water and energy use. For example, one tap model alone, (Presto 605) is estimated to save around 7 million litres of water each year under typical conditions, with roughly half of that being heated water.
We’ve also transitioned freight from air to sea wherever feasible. Although this requires longer lead times and increased inventory planning, it substantially reduces emissions. A typical shipment from Europe can save CO₂ equivalent to the annual emissions of a company car.
